We take over an island to say farewell.

Brad had a boat drop us off on Isola dei Pescatori for the final group dinner of the tour.  We had the island completely to ourselves so we weren't in danger of disturbing any neighbors this time.

First, Brad toasted Rick and Terri because it was their wedding anniversary.  They proceeded to passionately kiss like they hadn't seen each other for years.

The group toasted to the tour (with me standing on a chair to get a picture of it), and we dined on fish, penne pasta, and more fish.  Phil gave a speech mimicking one of Brad's dissertations about the origin of a specific word, and we then gave Brad two bottles of wine which everyone pitched in on and Freyja and I picked up at Rosalie's wine store, and there was a big card signed by all to commemorate the tour and the fantastic job Brad did.  He was humbled.

The group chatted, laughed, and took pictures for a while over dessert, and eventually had to leave so that the restaurant could close.

There were hugs of goodbye for many, and a small group gathered in the hotel bar for one last toast of grappa.

It was very late when we finally retired for the evening.
